Just passing through town and saw this much-loved fish and chip shop! I asked so many questions about the menu and the staff were so lovely and nice. Fish super duper fresh - not greasy, just light and easy to eat, perfectly flakey. none of that old oil taste on either the fish or the chips. The interior is also so adorable and old-school. .

I was recommended Allan's during a trip to Scotland, and I’m so glad I decided to visit. Located in the heart of Paisley, despite its urban surroundings, the shop benefits from a few dedicated parking spaces at the rear of the building. As I stepped inside, it felt like being transported back to the 1940s when the shop was first established. The décor, with its wood panelling and vintage atmosphere, really added to the experience. The shop features a spacious restaurant area on one side and a separate takeaway section on the other. The staff were friendly and polite, and the food was excelle
