I don’t come very often but I do quite like the setting and atmosphere. The cakes can be shockingly high in calories for what you’re getting so I suspect they are made quite cheaply at source. The service is usually good with a good number of staff on each day. However, the main issue is the fact that the coffee is very hit and miss. The beans looked very dark when I was there on Sunday. £4ish is fine to have a seat to read for an hour but I couldn’t say that the flat white was all that enjoyable.

Firstly, I personally do not agree with the recent views about the level of service. I have been here a dozen times since July, and haven't received any rude behaviour from the baristas – in fact, they have been wonderfully pleasant every time I have been. I have even heard them engage in small conversations with customers. Service is fast, and I haven't had any problem with the food, either, as some have complained. One improvement I might suggest is better care of the toilet at the back of the café, as it wasn't the cleanest it could've been. Finally, there are plenty of charging points for
