ASK Italian in Preston is part of the Animate complex. I’ve always found this place to look really cute. It looks smart and modern from the outside, with rainforest vibes on the inside, and it’s somewhere I’ve wanted to try for a while; however, sadly, my experience here wasn’t good at all. Despite visiting at dinner on Tuesday, there was no one inside the restaurant. It felt so weird, usually I have a rule if I see no diners in a restaurant to leave, but I was tired and wanted a specific item which I like at my usual ASK Italian location, so I decided to forget this rule on this occasion. Had an absolutely fantastic meal here with a group of four! A massive shoutout to our server, Michael, who was incredibly nice, professional, and friendly. He really went above and beyond by advising us on a 2-for-1 mains coupon code, which made the whole experience such a great deal. ​The food was exceptional. I had the calzone along with the garlic parmesan fries, and both were cooked to perfection. Food was pretty bland. Grande Lasagne unfortunately nothing Grande about it . Small portion for the price. Pasta sheets al dente. Carbonara with tomatoes? Starters mushrooms and prawns would bennifit from Garlic Butter than with Mayo . Dessert, the donuts would have been better warmed as hard and cold . Cocktails not very strong or exciting. Glad we used clubcard and not our own money . Restaurant atmosphere although clean and nice surroundings the lights was extremely bright. Great service

We had an issue with our veggie takeaway order. The restraunt was very apologetic and sent us an e gift to card to spend on site. The place was gorgeous. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Theey had some great offers on including 2 children eat free per one adult during half term. We loved it. The food was delicious and no mess up with the veggie option this time. We will be back, thank you!
