Nostos is a fantastic coffee shop for on-the-go coffee lovers! Whenever I’m craving a specialty coffee that’s sure to impress, I head straight to Nostos. Their banana bread is simply divine, check the golden layer! and the three times I’ve tried their flat white, it’s been the creamiest and smoothest I’ve ever had (If you like the taste of the coffee itself, I recommend asking for less milk). And let’s not forget about their long black, which is an absolute masterpiece. The staff are the loveliest specially Louis.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been to a coffeeshop where the barista is so attentive and also have high quality control. I knew the coffee would be good as I have been to the other Nostos in Westminster but what really stood out here is the barista Louis. He gave us a pourover because he wasn’t satisfied with the taste of the batch brew. Watching him make the pourover was a treat because of the attention to detail, like soaking the filter paper before extraction and warming the cup before serving. And his product knowledge is amazing too; he was able to share a lot about the bag of coffee I got,

The coffee was good and the cups were cute! I think the interior ambience was a bit lacking and seating is limited. I would recommend getting a takeout coffee. It was quite busy as well, we visited on a Sunday morning and it was packed with people. I think there was a Sunday running club that was hanging out there and people were standing around everywhere so it was hard to move around. I do really want to come back and try the flat white where they freeze the milk as I think that sounds quite special!

Made a specific point to come here during a London trip due to the special frozen milk they use in flat whites. I was intrigued by the concept. You try the formerly frozen milk first, cleanse your palette with water and then mix the flat white. It was a nice experience to try but not something I would do again for £11. The pour over was nice too. The service was indifferent but that seemed the norm rather than the exception during this trip to coffee shops in London.
