Im sorry, but we've just paid 20 quid for 2 large fish and one chips. You expect the price because the north east coast is now a Tory playground and inflation has been completey standardised 😅 but it's nice to get what you pay for. Cutting your costs by compromising your quality is not the way to go. We went here as nowhere else was open but I remember it being okay in the past. Anyway I'm embarrassed by the food, brought my mam for a day out and I can barely feed my toddler never mind all 3 of us! Same price from Oliver's and way better quality. Should be called the miniscule chip 🤌🏻

The portion of chips are quite reasonable enough to keep you going till next meal I sometimes have a beef burger or a fish to go with the chips they are cooked at the right temperature and the batter is also cooked to perfection. The staff are pleasant and very helpful also mustn’t forget the chip shop isn’t cold its warm and has comfortable seats. I have made it my regular and I’m predicting , presuming that the summer will have many customers fish and chips our Britains favourite traditional food !

Good news of you're not veggie or vegan is that they don't use seed oils here. Beef dripping! Contrary to popular belief animal fats are healthy for humans. Seed oils are high in omega 6 and cause oxidation. If you know you know,,😉. Prices are fair here and service is great. There's a small seating area if you want to eat in.
