Ordered for the first time via Deliveroo and the food was amazing! Arrived piping hot, each wrapped in foil. Chips were almost like home cooked, fish great and not greasy and the best looking donner I’ve had in a while… soft pitta, and fresh salad! Will be back for more!

England, I have arrived. My first proper chippy experience! I’d had my eye on Pete’s Plaice for a while, and on one of my walks I happened to end up nearby. With my stomach growling, I thought — why not? I met Pavan and Shree, and when I told them I was visiting, it almost felt like I’d stepped into an MI6 interview room. In the best way though — they were curious, welcoming, and full of stories. We ended up chatting in a mix of Hindi, Urdu, and English. For a fiver, this is unbeatable. two proper bits of fish, fresh hot chips, fried chicken, and a generous load of donner meat, all cooked well and full of flavour. No corners cut, no sogginess or oily batter, just hot, hearty food that actually delivers. Coming from a seaside town in Kent, you’d think it’s fresh catch 👌👌
