First time coming here, it's a good place with much more greater potential even. Lovely location by the waters although the booth seating area windows are too high placed so you can't see through to the scenery when seated. The Food and drinks are Great and served fresh and hot, hence it being quite a wait, For a first timer it would be nice if they could say approximately how long it takes. Also there were no clear signs of where to order then the pick up part, so I was standing behind people waiting to pick up for a while till I figured it out. Lovely little cafe in the woods, nice walk to get to, me and my 7 year old did it no problem, portable toilets on site. Only downfall is that we arrived there at lunchtime, but they had no vegan options, only a couple of cakes, and the lad on the till wasn't listening when I gave my order, so I had to tell him twice. Other than that it was lovely. I'll just have to take my own food/snacks next time.

Fantastic end to a lovely riverside walk! We came just after the floods and everything was back to normal. Great to see it all back in action. Such a great spot serving excellent coffee and treats. They also serve food but we didn’t try it. Really popular spot and lots of locals taking advantage of an amazing rest spot.

We have been coming here for a few years now on our walking trips and it’s a great location. We love the cheese and onion pasties and it’s disappointing that they are rarely available recently, we have offered to wait while they put them in the oven but have been told that they won’t turn the oven on for two pasties! I asked if there is a system where we can phone and pay over the phone before we come but they don’t have a business phone? Maybe this could be a business suggestion as I’m sure it would avoid disappointment if walkers have come a long way as we do and certain foods aren’t availab
