The castle and the surrounding ruins are simply stunning. They certainly knew which strategic point to occupy back then—the view of both sides of the peninsula is breathtaking, and on a clear day, you can see far into the bays. ​The building’s history is also well-documented; we thoroughly enjoyed looking at the artifacts and local history relics exhibited in the museum. ​The staff here is exceptionally kind and helpful.

This historic site is truly amazing, encompassing history from prehistoric times through the Celts, Romans, Anglo-Saxons, Vikings, Normans, the Middle Ages, the modern era, and World War II. Although the castle walls and the Norman Keep are partially destroyed, they remain magnificent and impressive. I brought my gaming device and had a fun time playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla, visiting Scarborough Castle in the game while comparing it to the actual location.

Scarborough Castle is a dramatic fortress situated on a rocky promontory, offering panoramic views over the North Sea and town. Featuring a 12th-century great tower built by Henry II, the site boasts 3,000 years of history, including Roman, Viking, medieval, and Civil War activity. Another beautiful remnant of English history and we'll worth a visit. The views off the top are stunning, you can see Miles up and down the Yorkshire coast. There is also a nice little stand to get a nice cake and a decent latte.

I really enjoyed my visit to Scarborough. It’s one of the nicest seaside towns I’ve been to, with beautiful sea views and a relaxing atmosphere. It’s a great place for a walk or to spend time with family and friends. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants along the seafront, and there’s also a small amusement park that makes the area even more enjoyable, especially for families with children.
