Busy Saturday night - easy to get served and by a friendly and funny bar lady. Juke box and cheap drinks by London standards. Football on the TVs and a great atmosphere - we will be back!

Nice cheap and cheerful wee boozer. Decent selection of drinks, Guinness but no ales. It's great to see a pool table. Really nice mix of clientele. I felt comfortable walking in & sitting on my own while waiting for friends to join me. Service from last nights bar manager was first class. (/me I need to work on my photography skills)

Getting here is easy, Shadwell overground and Shadwell DLR are close by. . This pub was built in 1851 by the Watney Combe Reid brewery, even though a little battered, the pub still retains its Watney sign at the front of the pub. . This is a small, compact and cosy pub with one long thin bar. The servery runs down the right hand side with low level tables and chairs opposite. Fabulous authentic east end pub,most probably one of the only few left in the area, goes back around 100 years if not more. A real nostalgic boozer. The regulars are a good bunch and the landlady runs it extremley well, even offering a christmas lunch to her "lost and founds" which she cooks and puts on herself. It has a real community spirit and well worth a visit.
