26/05 Went in the afternoon, service was great. But it is far too hot in there the poor staff looked like they were melting. They need better working conditions in this heat.

I ordered a cinnamon bun, but unfortunately it was completely undercooked—very soggy, watery, and raw in the middle. I regularly eat cinnamon buns and have ordered them from Nero many times before, so I know how they are usually prepared. This one was definitely not right. I quietly approached the gentleman serving at the counter to explain the issue, making sure other customers wouldn’t hear. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he suddenly raised his voice and said, “I am the chef, and that is how it is.” I found his response dismissive and unnecessary. I am a regular Nero Café

Terrible experience at Cafe Nero today. This is normally a cafe I love going to served one of the worst drinks I’ve had in a very long time. I paid more than £4 for what was a cup of oat milk with syrup, the cafe closed two minutes earlier and locked the door so when I went back to try and pay for another matcha shot, the non-trainee on shift purposefully ignored me. When he opened the door, he refused to let me pay for another matcha shot/remake the drink after I’d paid, instead being very rude and even slamming the door in my face. I’ll not be returning to Cafe Nero again.
