Staff were very welcoming as we didn't prebook book a table! Our 6yea bold was given a great selection of books, crossword and puzzles to keep him entertained whilst food was brought. Decent selection of kids meals which were very well portioned especially for the reasonable price.. Connor our waiter was very accommodating to check we had everything we needed and wanted. Been here more than a few times now and never had a bad experience. The food is always so lovely and fresh. We have been as a large family group twice for the carvery on a Sunday which has been delicious. Very generous portions. We have booked again for this Sunday. The service is always lovely, very helpful staff and Kirsty is great, nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend 😁

Went this evening for a family meal to celebrate an 80th birthday, there were 10 of us. Booked at half 5 and was told we needed to order quickly as kitchen closes at 6pm…what pub closes their kitchen at 6pm? We ordered 9 carvery and 1 kids meal. The kids meal came within a few minutes of ordering. There weren’t enough Yorkshire puddings to go round us all, was told we couldn’t have any as they take 90 minutes to make… There were no mash or carrots, the broccoli was like mush and the cabbage was all dried up. Read previous reviews and confidently booked a table on Sunday 17th May. At 2.30pm on a Sunday the handful of cars in the carpark should have been a warning. Inside despite only one other couple inside had to actively seek staff for attention. The Sunday menu was a disappointment with few choices. Had to choose the carvery. Big mistake. The beef looked great although the server struggled to carve it. Second warning missed. At the table the food was room temperature, same as the lager.
