Well me and the wife decided to venture out a little further than normal and ended up in Southsea. After a good few miles of walking through random streets we stumbled across El Toro. Luckily we got in before too much of a rush. The staff were really polite and happy to help. Unusually we started with some starters, garlic mushrooms, grilled chicken and chilli cheese bites all were awesome. I decided on the signature rice with lamb and the wife went for the tender lamb with mash. All the lamb was lovely and tender and there was plenty of it. We are already planning our next visit.

Managed to get a last minute booking on friday evening, before we went to a wedding reception. Staff were very friendly, helpful and accomadating as we didnt have a huge amount of time. Food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious! We will definetely be back soon and will stay longer. Thank you xx

he place and service were nice, but the food was just okay for me. I ordered the pork ribs, and they weren’t marinated—just sauce poured over the ribs. That was disappointing.

Beautiful freshly cooked food. Steaks were perfect. Would like a more varied tapas selection. Service was a bit slow and we often had to get the attention of a server for drinks/desert menu/bill. Parking is awful in the area if you aren't local. Definately cannot fault the quality of food though - we had a stunning meal.
