We'd heard only good things about Marmion House, but never actually been. Now we have, I can safely say that all the good things appear to be true and, on the basis of the lovely food and excellent service we enjoyed on our visit (thank you, Jasmine 😊), we'll definitely be back. We opted for the five "small plates" for £45, and were very pleasantly surprised to find that they were a) all delicious (the cheese souffle was definitely better than the one at Brasserie Blanc), abd b) not very small 😀. Would definitely recommend.

An absolute feast for the eyes and belly! What a delicious dinner we had. The padron peppers, stuffed mushrooms, beef croquettes and the arancini were the stars of the show, incredible food topped off with two outstanding desserts, the banana brioche and the chocolate tart! All washed down with red wine and espresso. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was fabulous for a Saturday night, highly recommended and we will be coming back, thank you!

Simply glorious 🥰 the best nut roast with perfectly cooked fresh vegetables. 🥦🥕the food is lovingly home made the carpaccio was the best we have ever tasted. Then the service…well genuinely we could not have asked for better. A warm friendly welcome, a server that couldn’t have been lovelier or done more for us. Nothing was too much trouble. Just sad we don’t live closer!!! We will most certainly be back as often as we can. We haven’t ordered a dessert 🍮 in years but made sure we did as we knew it would be banging and oh my goodness…the chocolate tart 😋 thank you so so much. A rare gem 💎

Our favourite place to eat in Southsea! Sunday Roast is the jewel in the crown, with the menu throughout the week a close second! Superb Wine list, and first class service! We eat with children who are catered for in every way, nothing is too much trouble! Look out for the special events which are varied from live music nights to terrarium building with a wine!
