I might not be the most objective reviewer, as I've been sold the first time I stepped into a Gail's. Long before it was a chain! However, since then I've been to dozens of Gail's around London and beyond, so maybe I actually do have an idea of the food, service and atmosphere to give a review. The staff in this cafe are super lovely and accommodating, and very patient with people choosing their pastries (it's always a hard choice because you want everything!). Stopped by for a tea and avocado toast. Both were great. I especially appreciate you red spread with the avocado toast as it gave it extra pizazz. Service was a little bit odd. I ordered the toast, but they were calling someone else to hand someone else’s order. The test was a little burnt, so I asked them to give me a fresh one because that was not my order. They were hesitant at first, but then I stood my ground and finally gave me a fresh unburnt one.
