I was so pleased to visit the Woodlands Hotel and find the food absolutely delicious. You expect a better quality food when you pay a little more which isn’t always the case. The Woodlands offer that including excellent service from Elle who organised our table and first drinks were on the table promptly. Ruby’s attention to detail was wonderful both very young ladies who could not do enough to welcome us. Thank you to the chef Carina who ensured our meal arrived hot and very fresh. Visited recently after the renovation and was really impressed with how the pub has been transformed. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the place looks fantastic, and it still manages to keep that friendly local feel. The food and drinks were great value and the service was excellent throughout. A special mention has to go to Cerys, who was friendly, attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. She was professional, approachable and helped make the visit even more enjoyable. Ordered a gammon eggs chips and peas with a double vodka and orange. £20+. Drink was ok Food was abysmal, gammon was delicious, but only got one egg, a small handful of chips and maybe a ladle full of peas. Took nearly 30 minutes to get my food, I understand that there's a fair amount of people in the pub but that's quite some time to wait to be fed. Not worth £20 maybe £15, but no more then that tbh

First time up since the new menu and was really pleased. Nice selection, had the fish and chips and chicken gyros. Had a question about one of the meals and Gill from the kitchen was really nice and helpful. Food was red hot and even though it was really busy were served quickly
