This is without a doubt my new favourite Fish & Chip Shop. I was visiting family and decided to treat my Mother in Law to Cod and Chips. Although there was a small queue when I arrived around lunchtime I did not feel I was waiting too long. The staff were friendly and clearly care about making a good impression on their customers. This was the best tasting cod I've eaten in years. The batter was delicious and the chips were equally as good. I will be returning and recommend this place to anybody in the area.

Decided to change the review to 1 star after the owner cant take realistic criticism. Calling customers liars is yet another poor example of the customer service you may expect here. To be honest I am not suprised but not bothered as I will NEVER return. It would have been far easier as an owner to simply say sorry, I will take your comments on board and look at how things can change for the better - this is called continual improvement. However, it is clear you are not business focussed and choose to criticise your prospective customers. Just so you know I am not the only person who has told

I have visited this establishment several times over the last few months,mostly lunch times when I'm working in the area. The food from here is mostly cooked to order and honestly never dissapoints. The chips are the best I've had for ages, piping hot,crisp outer and fluffy interior. No soggy mess from this chip shop. Both the guys I've interacted with are genuinely friendly The Good news is I'm moving into the area in a couple of months so will definitely become a regular customer.

Haven't been here for such a long time but read the reviews and thought WOW that must be great. Well it's not! I spent half an hour waiting in a queue for fish and chips for me and my husband that was dried out and tasted like it was off and the batter was definitely burnt.The majority of the chips were just scraps as well. We threw them away as it just wasn't right - not risking that. Maybe I got a bad day but i question some of the other reviews based on our experience.
