Locals Irish style pub in Stoke Newington. Long and thin layout, with a slightly dark and tongue in cheek style decor (worth a look might make you smile). Mix of slightly older patrons, who have probably been going for decades. Will show live sport, although not a huge number of screen. One of the few places in North London still playing regular live music, some general indie based stuff but also some nice folk and country vibes- which is good to see. Love Mascara Bar so much! Every time I go there I somehow end up staying right until the lights get switched on. Such a cool blend of different people and great characters! Can always expect to have interesting convos in the smoking area too. Nice to know the London night life is being protected by this place and Maggie. Great boozer. Great Jukebox. Great staff. Great pint of Guinness. If you’re thinking of going. Go!

Recently had my birthday at Mascara Bar and had the most fantastic time - the staff were really friendly and attentive, the bar was clean and welcoming, and the music was great! Stayed until close because the vibes were so good - have been before for karaoke and had a fantastic time so will definitely be back. One of the best pubs/late bars in London :)
