We were driving through the area after a walk at Ivinghoe Beacon. Had a quick Google to see if they had anything gluten-free on the menu. There wasn't loads of choice, but they did have a couple of things on the menu. To my surprise, when we arrived, they advised they had recently made all their Sunday lunches gluten free. It was absolutely delicious and came with a massive Yorkshire pudding and cauliflower cheese. Jackpot 😄

After living locally for almost 20 years, I finally made it to The Five Bells in Stanbridge — and I honestly can’t believe it took me so long. I booked a dinner for their French evening and mon dieu… it was absolutely magnifique. One of the nicest meals I’ve had in a long time. The paired wines were spot on, the atmosphere was beautifully relaxed, and the staff were genuinely lovely and attentive without being overbearing. It made for such a special evening — helped, of course, by the best company 💕 I’ll definitely be returning… and I certainly won’t be leaving it another 20 years next tim

Recommended by a colleague and it didn't dissapoint. The quality of the food was fabulous (we had lamb chump and other than the thin edge there wasn't an ounce of fat on it. There were 3 generous slices each being about 8mm thick.). Everything was as expected but great value for money considering the portion sizes. The dessert menu didn't have the largest choice but despite not being a dessert person what I chose was delicious. Can't wait to visit there again. Look out for special events there too! I also hear the breakfast is of similar quality, so that's on my list too!

We've been coming here since we moved to the area a few years ago. We have done several of themed evenings, roast dinners and weekly rituals and have now started going for thier breakfasts. Staff are lovely, place and gardens are beautiful and food is sensational. Not a better place in the area.
