Best pub in Stockport by a mile, which makes sense as it's run by the same folk who run the Petersgate Tap. They've started selling Stiegl (a very old brewery in Salzburg) on draught and in cans (Stiegl radler), which I haven't seen in any other pubs I've been into in Manchester, with the exception of Albert Schloss. Great pub, great people, great beer. Keep up the great work. Edit: still the best pub in Stockport.

Well worth visiting. Good selection of craft and cask beers. Cheaper than similar places nearby and with a better atmosphere. Good staff , friendly without being obsequious . Nice pork scratchings with jalapeno. Labrynth like interior . Only thing I didn't like was TV screens everywhere showing the beer menu.

Great addition to Stockport beer offer. The Kernel was rated as "the best beer I have tried in recent years" by the other half. The pork scratchings are dangerously delicious too. It's a proper pub. No frills. We loved it.

Absolutely wonderful. The Petersgate Tap team have done a stellar job in bringing back this absolute gem of a traditional, multi-roomed pub. Excellent, perfectly kept cask and keg beer, a friendly greeting on arrival and a great suntrap of a beer garden with views of the viaduct. Welcome back!
