Erandi Silva★We came back after a great experience last year, but this visit was a complete letdown. Previously, the food was genuinely authentic and the Nasi Goreng was one of the best I’ve had. This time, it was easily the worst. The rice was burnt, dry, and completely tasteless. It looked good but had no flavour at all. To their credit, one staff member was polite and offered a replacement, but the second dish was just as bland. The Nasi Goreng also included kale, peas, and sweetcorn, which felt completely out of place and far from authentic. I might be completely wrong about the veggies but it came a
Missus Em★★★★If you’re craving Malaysian this is a good stop. Authentic taste like a Malaysian hawker stall. However quality isn’t even across the dishes. Murtabak was just so-so. A bit flat. Otherwise, Nasi Ayam was good, soup was en pointe. Nasi Lemak too. Roti Canai was just ok. The Dahl curry was adequately tasty. Very popular stop. Line up to get in for dinner. Lots of families eat here. Drinks are waaaay to sweet despite asking for less sweet.
CKP★★★I really want this restaurant to do well, so my review below hopefully is seen as constructive - will start with the positives The service is super friendly and professional. I think I met the owner too - who was absolutely lovely. The Karipap is 100% sensational. Authentic flavours, great flaky pastry. Came out piping hot. Absolutely superb. The Milo Ais Dinosaur was lovely. Initially I thought it was a bit thin but once you stir in the powder, it’s very good The mixed satay was mixed - the lamb was nicer than chicken. The peanut sauce was fantastic. I think it was fried rather than grill

I have been to many Southeast Asian restaurants in London, but this is one of the very few that has genuinely compelled me to write a detailed review. The food here is authentic Penang island cuisine — proper, honest, home-style Malaysian cooking. I have not tried every dish yet, but the dishes I have had honestly gave me goosebumps. The roti canai is just like I remember it: crispy on the outside, fluffy and soft inside, with just the right chewiness. It is made with ghee, exactly how it should be, and you
