Went here for the first time 3 weeks ago and was massively impressed by it. I automatically went for a large cod, chips and peas and it was an epic portion. Very well cooked too, highly recommended! Returned here yesterday and it was a complete contrast to my original visit 3 weeks ago. Didn’t get any photos this time but the food was absolutely disgusting. Had a medium haddock box meal with curry sauce, the fish was tiny, so small and thin. It was overcooked around the edges being so thin. I travel from Mansfield whenever I want fish and chips, because nowhere else comes close to the energy or customer service these guys bring. The family who own the place are genuinely lovely, and the staff are all phenomenal. A lot of fish and chip shops around Mansfield charge extortionate prices for what you get, but these guys are fair and honest in what they charge. You can tell they care just as much about their customers as they do about the food and service.
