We were in the area for a couple of nights and were looking for somewhere for dinner and a drink. The Master Mariner looked like the spot and it absolutely was. The food was excellent, we had the 18 hour slow cooked brisket and the Southern Fried Chicken burger. The servings were exceptionally generous, full of flavour, and too good to leave anything on the plate. The beer was cold and the wine was excellent. We cannot recommend this venue highly enough. Friendly staff, great service and amazing food and drink.

Bank Holiday-Monday, beautiful weather but mid of the day half menu not available. Beef brisket like a dry slice with no taste, pulled pork shoulder was sweet. Small portion some of us left hungry 😂

Myself and my husband decided to go on Friday and check out their new smokehouse menu. It was nice and relaxing, all the staff were so lovely and very friendly, made you feel welcome!! Now the food….. absolutely beautiful!! The portion sizes were huge and the food was very tasty!! Great value for money! All round we had a lovely time and will definitely be back!!

8 of us for lunch, the pit platter was enormous and excellent. The brisket was one of the best I’ve had. We took the leftovers home and the rest for tea. Apple crumble sundae for dessert was lovely as well. Staff really keen & live sports on several screens, it’s always nice to have somewhere to get decent food whilst the footy is on. They had a full veggie/vegan menu as well as the normal menu which was great for a relative.
