We had a lovely day sitting in sun (with the umbrella up for shade) on a very hot day. I had burger, chips and salad. We all commented on how great the chips were. My burger was lovely too. Its on the roundabout opposite Aldi at Pennywell Industrial Estate so its easy to get to. I got the 78 bus. There are a few buses that stop nearby.

Sadly I was there for a wake, buffet food was ok but didn't try the main menu. 2 of the teenagers in the party did and they enjoyed thier meals. Beer range could be improved with more Premium IPA's, however that is my choice and not a overall view of all who attended. The staff were great and the pub was busy for a Thursday afternoon.

!! OUTSTANDING SUNDAY CARVERY !! This place is an absolute must try. The staff are amazing and very friendly, the chef has good banter with each and every single customer and the food is off this planet. Fresh veg and lots of variation, it’s piping hot, tasty and the portions are bang on. Of all the places I’ve been to for a carvery around the whole of the U.K, this is honesty the best I’ve had.

The Hastings Hill in Sunderland is a fantastic spot for a Sunday carvery! I went with a friend and his 7-year-old, and we all had a great time. The carvery was packed with delicious options, and the meat carver was not only skilled but also incredibly entertaining – really added to the experience! The food was spot on, and we left completely satisfied. Highly recommend for a fun, family-friendly meal!
