Excellent place on the banks of the river Trent. Perfect location for a visit during the lunch break at the test match at Trent bridge. Friendly,helpful staff. Large selection of beer wine and spirits. Must try some of the lovely looking food one of these days.

​We opted for the Roast Dry Aged Beef Rump and the Roast Chicken Breast (complete with pig in blanket). ​Every roast comes loaded with: ​Perfect roasties & buttered winter greens. ​Carrot & swede mash and a stuffing bon bon. ​A Yorkshire pudding filled with braised beef shin. This was the standout component—rich, tender, and genius. ​We added a side of smoked cauliflower cheese, which was the perfect indulgent accompaniment. Dog friendly in the bar and on the outside terrace.

The Waterside offers everything family and friends are looking for. Delicious food (I tried the vegan and the four cheese pizzas), great atmosphere and very friendly staff. On top of that and very important to me is how relaxing the venue is, with plenty of sitting options and a quiet environment. Great way to avoid the busyness and loudness of restaurants in the city centre. Finally, they are dog friendly, which is a must for me.

Nice spacious bar, inside and out! Great for a beer in the sun watching the world go by! We got served quickly as the bar was not too busy. As it was a lovely sunny day, we decided to sit outside. We sat at one of the booth, as my wife was sitting down, she caught her dress and tore it on a nail that was sticking out of the bench. On speaking to the bar staff to tell them of the nail and to ask if they had a sewing kit to repair it, they was'not bothered and not interested in looking at the nail.
