I had high hopes for this cafe given the great reviews but was awfully disappointed. The interior is very drab and reminded me of that recurring scene in The Apprentice where they punish the losing team by sending them to a depressing run down cafe. The service was awful too, in fact there is no table service so you must order at the till and the person there that day wasn't very pleasant. I was told I couldn't swap tomatoes for mushrooms when ordering a full english (something that literally any other cafe would be happy to do) because the tomatoes and beans come as a set and thus I'd have to

Confess that I haven't been here for years. Went early for breakfast today. Greeted by a clean and tidy cafe with a happy couple,they were busy in the open kitchen hand making pies. Had a medium breakfast...plenty of food on the plate. Great price too. Wont leave it so long next time

As a tradesman of 20 years I’ve eaten a few fried breakfasts in my time. Copper kettle is easily a front runner for the Top slot. Bacon thick and salty not the cheap stuff, the quality of the sausage was excellent not the normal bangers, hash browns were crispy and golden. Very clean and very friendly. Breakfast included tea which some charge extra for. Over all a fantastic breakfast for a reasonable price. I will be back for sure and I know a few trades who’ll be coming next time lol
