What a lovely place... we visited on Good Friday having heard the train was running. Had hoped for some breakfast, do a train ride and the easter trail. Unfortunatly others must have had the same plan as it was busy - kids still did the trail, and we did manage to go on the train as well. We had a nice time, and the guys working the train were great with the kids (let them do the signals / wave the flags etc.) Train ride was £3 adult / £2 Child.

What a lovly place. We went for the train ride and then a cup of tea. The train ride is great for the kids and big kids 😀 its only a short train ride but well thought out like going back in time . The tea room has inside and out side tables with the outside being under cover. All staff from train ride to tearoom staff realy helpful and friendly. I realy recommend trying the cakes thy have there 😋

Friendly staff and good food. I like that there is something for children to play on and the option of the train ride so I hear but haven’t tried yet. High Chairs available and a nice big bathroom. Can’t remember seeing a changing unit. Outdoor and indoor seating with a nice modern touch of decor. They also have a room for a bigger table booking. Could do with more choices on the menu. I haven’t seen the breakfast menu but there was really only one or two things I liked on the lunch menu and I’m not normally fussy with food.

Went for lunch and a train ride today. Lunch was lovely and the experience the volunteers Chris and Leicester gave my 4 year old were priceless, 50 minutes of answering his never ending questions and a chance to ride up front with the train driver, made it a very memorable day - thank you! Highly recommend. The station is very nostalgic and lots of fascinating facts. We will be back for sure!
