Always bustling with people from all walks of life, from the afterschool rowdy crew to those seeking a quiet coffee on the sunny tables out front. Pizza nights, incredible gelato cones and the occasional set menu evening ticketed affair, keep things interesting. When arranging a meet up with a friend the answer is always ‘let’s go to hot milk’. They’re the heart of Bounds Green and make our area all the better for simply being who they are.
Kamala Bryant★★The woman was passive aggressive. They had a takeout deal on which we were deliberating, then opted to go with the normal menu. We were sat down and our bagels arrived before our friends so we started digging in - she then really loudly said to her colleague “next time someone gets the bagel for takeout, make sure they eat out” We hadn’t even got the take out deal. And we were still waiting for our friends meal to arrive. Finally the bathroom has some bizarre sign postings on it about how expensive it is to run a toilet and how we should be quick 😂 The bagel and coffee were tasty.
Syd Eats★★★★A café that cares. The owner is obviously very passionate about quality local ingredients and coffee blends. They also sell some lovingly selected wines. Some years ago I ate here and really did not like it (I found the breakfast heavily over-seasoned as pictured) - but I've come back for a coffee, snack and wine purchase and I have to update my review. It's a clean, cool wee cafe - probably the best in the post code.
