We had a lovely visit to Diglis House Hotel. The location is simply outstanding, with beautiful views over the river and, in my opinion, one of the best spots in Worcester. The beer garden is fantastic, and the addition of the outdoor bar and bar tables has created a really cosy and welcoming atmosphere. Diglis House is one of Worcester’s best spots when the weather is good. Sitting by the river on a sunny day, it’s hard to beat the atmosphere, and despite being busy there always seems to be plenty of seating available, although finding shade can be a bit more difficult on hotter days. The service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive, friendly and regularly checked in to make sure everyone was looked after without it feeling over the top. The food was very good. Had Sunday lunch here on May 24th. Table for 6, booked online in advance and also confirmed online two days before booking. However, when we arrived they had no record of our booking, which was briefly frustrating. But, I had my email confirmation and the staff found us a table straight away. None of this was a problem, these IT gremlins happen. It was all dealt with very quickly and efficiently. Delicious afternoon tea in their dining room with a lovely view of the river. Sandwiches and cakes all delicious and excellent scones with jam and clotted cream. Friendly and efficient service. Will definitely be back in the summer to sample the lunch menu.
