Had the occasion on Tuesday morning to walk from Goring-By-Sea to Worthing, it was a lovely day just needed to find some where to have a breakfast snack before heading back. I had planned to eat at the cafe on the pier but then I came across the Lido cafe. I wasn’t sure if it was open but did see a side door lit up. The cafe is part of the Lido which I have to say is very run down and looked a bit shabby, the cafe was lovely and the staff friendly. I had a bacon butty and coffee a nice white soft bun and a couple of slices of bacon.

A traditional style “proper” cafe set inside the historic Worthing Lido. Wide range of proper food including a choice of sandwiches and hot food. Seating inside with sea views or outside in the Lido area next to the children’s amusement park.

Long time since I was a regular visitor to the Café and very sad the current situation of this iconic Worthing venue. However the Café is managing it's limited premises and still offering a welcome and good food at a reasonable price. My scampi and chips were beautifully cooked and the portion generous. Everything (including the "facilities") was spotlessly clean. On the basis of Use It or Lose It, show support for the restoration of these buildings before it's too late, please.

Stopped here to have brunch. Food ok. Staff ok. But just as my wife was half way thru her meal i noticed something movein to th right of her. It was a big slug. We both felt bit sick n got up n left. Wil not b goin back
