I don’t know if we went on an off day… the food pics had us sold, the name implies axe throwing and I also read “known for chicken fried steak” So we went. It was midday, only about 6 customers at the bar. The waitress mumbled everything and we had to have her repeat everything. We ordered the appetizer sampler, the tater tots were super, soft and cheesy, then the cheese curds were over cooked, making them rock hard, lastly the chicken wings (which I ordered bone-in, came out boneless) had a funk to them… Main plates… chicken fried steak was nearly the most expensive thing on the menu, claim

Wow! Eaten here many times but tonight the ‘spicy wings’ came out with japs - had an oven finished flavor that’s their thing here, but it soaked into the japs and turned a corner in my eats! Stuck my head in and thanked the cook. Fyi - I already ate one and some carrots, biggest wings ever at the Big Axe!

This place is the best! Great place to hang out during and after lunch. The bartenders (Alicia, Ashley, Lani, Heidi, McKenna) are welcoming, attentive, and on point with drinks. Darts, pool, drinks, and good food. Occasional concert and karaoke. What more could you ask for?
