Tapa Sushi was honestly a disappointing experience from start to finish. We ordered sushi before two other tables around us, yet somehow our food came out well after theirs. To make things worse, people at our own table ordered regular entrees the same time as us and nearly 30 minutes after they received their food our sushi came. The timing and coordination from the kitchen and service staff felt completely off. Tapa is a go to for us for sushi in American Fork. The food is good. Service is typically good. And the environment is mellow. It can get loud in there if it’s a busy night and people are drinking but overall it’s pretty chill. If something isn’t right they are quick to address and fix it.

I recently placed a pickup order from Tapa Sushi. Over the phone, the staff were friendly, which I appreciated. Unfortunately , one of the items I ordered was completely inedible. The Gyoza was badly burned, to the point where it shouldn’t have been boxed up and sent out. When I called to ask for a refund for just that one item, they refused, saying I could come back another time for a replacement instead. That’s really disappointing because I drove 25 minutes to get my order. Mistakes happen, but refusing to refund a $6 item after serving something that couldn’t be eaten is unacceptable. It’s
