Ordered a hot nutty Irishman, iced turtle mocha, coffee cake muffin and a blueberry scone. The iced drink came out as a hot drink. They remade it, but it was so weak! I detected zero coffee and a very tiny bit of caramel (no mocha whatsoever). Since I’d already asked them to remake my order once, I wasn’t going to ask again. My husband’s nutty Irishman was weak flavored and semi-warm. The blueberry scone was brick hard. I know scones are supposed to be hard, but this was simply just not fresh. Great, fun, and conveniently located coffee shop in the district in Ankeny! The staff here is always quick to get your coffee out and the breakfast sandwiches are so good. The inside of this Smokey Row doesn't have the same charm as the Des Moines location, but it's much bigger on the inside and a good option to have if you dont want to drive out to DSM.

Love the atmosphere here. Counter service was nice. I usually don't have order issues. Though this last time. My order to go was all messed up. I will chalk this one up to it being a pick-up order. I will know to double-check before I leave, if I do this again. When I dined in, all was great. Food it a hit and miss on some items. Bake goods are delicious. Cheese Burger soup is one of my favorites. Hamburgers are just so so.

Great place to hang out or do work. Coffee & sandwich were pretty good. The iced latte tasted a bit burnt & was super light on ice- I assume the espresso was poured directly onto the ice which can create that burnt taste. The items in the pastry case looked so good but I didn’t have any room to try any. Overall, I would go back!
