At 4.3 with 820 reviews, my girlfriend and I had high hopes for this place but calling it mid would be too generous. We came in right when it opened at 5pm and were greeted by a Gen Z stare - she wasn’t rude but it wasn’t the most welcoming tone to set. As another reviewer noted the decor is a bit drab and in dire need of redecorating. Our server was polite but didn’t seem enthusiastic about her job. We had dinner for our son‘s birthday. He loves their duck.The trout almondine was also excellent. There was only one waitress working and the restaurant was completely booked. She did an amazing job attending to all the tables. Cafe Normandie is always a great experience!

We came to Cafe Normandie to celebrate a graduation dinner for my girlfriend's son from the Naval Academy and had an exceptional dinner here! Our waitress, Amanda, was super nice, knowledgeable and knew the menu thoroughly. The food and drinks were exceptional. The manager, Jiliani, was incredibly nice and attentive. Chef/owner Jean-Louis made some incredible dishes. The duck mousse pate, and escargots appetizers were an excellent beginning to an exceptional meal. Was expecting the best and got the worst! The reviews all sounded great but the truth hurts. We walked in on time , actually few minutes early for our reservation was greeted by a lost soul unsure of what to do, maybe it was her first day, we were seated next to a blazing hot fire place that made us feel like we were what was being cooked for dinner (next day met a local who told us yes that fireplace seat is a killer and to hot to sit next to), made the drinks warm and melted the butter it was so hot .
