I visited the US Naval Academy and the gift store/visitor center employee recommended the Iron Rooster for good portions of all American food. This restaurant is huge, with sprawling outdoor seating, an inside bottom and top seating. I ordered the Tropical Mimosa and Steak and Old Bay Shrimp Entree with Asparagus and roasted Red Potatoes for sides.

Such a lovely brunch at Iron Rooster. The service was superb, and for a Saturday mid-morning the wait wasn’t bad at all. The atmosphere is warm and home-style, farm-like in the best way, like sitting in your grandma’s cozy farm cottage. We found this place for breakfast and ended up eating there two mornings in a row! One of the best home cooked breakfasts we have found. Generous portions, eggs perfectly scrambled firm (for me) and wet (for hubby). Best hash browns ever -- thinly sliced and the perfect combination of crunchy crusts and soft, tasty insides. Bacon and sausage were super yummy as well. This is definitely our new breakfast gig in Annapolis for future visits.
