Walked in the afternoon before a holiday, no reservation, no cake. By the time I showed up, everything was already sold out, and I ended up getting a few dozen cupcakes for my colleagues instead. Red velvet was gone too, so I went with the chocolate vanilla, vegan chocolate, and caramel chocolate. To be honest, I didn’t have high expectations for the cupcakes. At cake shops, it's usually propped up by whatever base batter and shelf frosting is on hand. These were the opposite of that. The cake itself was fluffy and moist without being dense or gummy, and the frosting was a proper buttercream

Oaklead Cakes is a custom cake designer and bakery serving a wide range of cakes used for celebrations and events. We got a cake for a birthday party, and the cake was perfectly made. The cake had multiple layers and was tall, providing a great portion size for the price. The cream wasn't too heavy, and the cake still felt light even with all the chocolate inside of it. Definitely will consider their custom shape cakes as well in the future.
