It was my first time going there and it was very cute. The parking area wrapped around the back and side of the location. It’s definitely a smaller sized café, but I do like the fact that there was outdoor and indoor seating. I wanted to be safe with my first meal here and I went with the all-American classic… A standard stack of pancakes with eggs and sausage. I have stopped here twice for breakfast. I really want to like this place because I prefer small business establishments over chains. I will say the service is good and everyone is working hard. Everything i have tried is fine, basic and overall not memorable in any way. The hash browns I had this trip had a taste of whatever was cooked on the flat top just before. The pricing is set high for something that is only acceptable. A scramble w/diced ham, hash browns and coffee (no toast) was $22.14. If they make a few changes and rethink the pricing a little it could be a great place.

Have been wanting to stop here since I moved to Bakersfield and finally had a weekend off so went to try the food and glad I did. The place is small but quaint and charming like eating breakfast in your mom’s home. Staff was friendly and helpful I. Making recommendations. Went with the country fried steak with country gravy and biscuits and gravy. Everything was flavorful and seasoned perfectly and my steak and eggs were cooked to perfection. Expect a wait if going as place is small but worth the wait. Will be back to try the French dip as I haven’t found a place here that serves a great Frenc

The word “delicious” says too little. From the moment I walked in, I was glad to dine here. The owner answered my questions about the menu and made an excellent breakfast for me. Even the coffee, which was regular black coffee, was impressive. There were plenty of cream cups in a little bowl on the table, and the waffle, eggs, and hamburger were, to borrow a Zig Ziglar phrase, better than good.
