The Starry Plough located at Berkeley, California is an Irish Pub serving Irish cuisine and variety of Ales. The evenings are vibrant with the local people playing Irish folk music. We enjoyed an evening with family relishing Hand Cut Fries with Red Ale and Ginger Ale. The Irish music being played with traditional instruments was a pleasure to watch and listen. The staff are helpful and great. The ambience and decor are unique.

This place is fun. Many nights out of the week there is an event of some kind or live music! It’s great. If you’re someone just deciding to swing through - be aware there are aren’t many seats at the bar. And folks who get ‘em usually stick around for a while! Be prepared to stand if the event is packed.

10/10! The food, the service, the atmosphere, everything is absolutely on point. I first learned about the Starry Plough in 2022 when they had a soft post-covid reopening on St. Paddy's Day, I regret waiting this long to drop by. I had gone 3 times last week already, and I am enjoying their fries and corned beef soup while typing this. I'm 27 and I feel right at home. The chef who works on Tuesdays is amazing. Also I don't know her name but the person who works on Tuesdays and the guy with the mustache have great energy. Slainte

Absolutely love The Starry Plough, an amazing venue for live music, trivia, any event they happen to have that night. As a vegan I wish they would add a beyond burger option, definitely not picky about cooking surfaces, just buy the beyond or impossible patties and cook them the same way you cook the normal burgers! The large number of local non meat eaters would rejoice. The French fries are already great ❤️
