The food and drink were great and deserving of 4 stars. The dining room was a little dark and I spotted 3 mice or rats scurrying across the dining room floor. Would still go back if I make it to the area again. Others in my party might be a little hesitant to do the same. I did not take pics of the food, which was good and I apologize for that.

We went to Beverly Depot for Valentine's Day, and everything was exceptional from the service to the drinks to the main course to dessert! We've been many times, and personally, I never had a seafood dish. The haddock with crabmeat stuffing was a generous portion and perfectly cooked and so tasty. The Depot Cosmo was a perfect start to the evening and the wine with dinner was a generous pour (which you don't see at a lot of in restaurants these days). The atmosphere: an old railroad depot! You can't get that elsewhere in the country. Service: our waitperson remembered us from the Hardcover. Cannot be beat! Food: salad bars have become a thing of the past. They have an honest-to-god salad bar. The cocktails were excellent, the swordfish special: some of the most tender swordfish I have ever had, and they even offer a surf-and turf special: fish of your choice (I naturally chose the swordfish) and a cut of steak! Who does that sort of thing now days?? So good!

Been going to the Depot since I was a teenager. Always my favorite steakhouse. Met friends there last night and was very disappointed. My steak was overcooked. The one thing a steakhouse should be able to do is properly cook a steak! The baked potato either was reheated or was originally cooked a long time ago. Unfortunately we were pressed for time and sending it back was not an option.
