Walking in on a Thursday afternoon wasn’t crowded or anything. Loved the atmosphere and the music not too loud just right… greeted w smiles went over the menu. Our food came out in about 10 mins very good and hot. We had one of the cocktails very good and strong lol. If you’re in the Detroit area check them out.

While in the Detroit area for a family reunion during Juneteenth/Father's Day weekend, Cornbread Restaurant was highly recommended by a friend and it truly did not disappoint! The location and inside were nice, clean, and welcoming. I loved how cute the inside is decorated/the wall art. My Dad and I arrived as soon as they opened up on Saturday hoping to beat any crowd so there was plenty of parking available and no wait. Our beautiful server, Bri, was attentive and friendly. I enjoyed a tasty bellini flight while waiting for our food. The food came out hot and was delicious! It all was season

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ By far the best soul food in Michigan! I went to Cornbread Restaurant today, and it was hands down the best soul food I’ve ever had in the state. I ordered "The Kitchen Sink," and it was way more food than I even anticipated. The flavors were incredible—it tasted exactly like those well-kept recipes my great-great-grandma used to keep tucked away in her recipe tin (iykyk)! To top it all off, our server, Donya, was the absolute epitome of what great customer service should be. Okay, Rinsey is the BEST! We’re out of towners and she really helped me pick between the two dinners I wanted. I love the aesthetic, music was comforting, whole vibe completely different than what we’re used to back home. Love the pictures on the wall and the best part… FOOD WAS AMAZING. Had the shrimp and gumbo for starters and smothered turkey chops for my entree. Will be back! Thank you for the hospitality
