EastWest is a locally owned restaurant located in downtown Birmingham, Alabama. It's East meets West, the Eastern culture and the Western culture, doing things like taking a ribeye and doing a Mongolian ribeye, and taking a piece of tuna and making it tuna tataki.

Our server gave us the rundown of weekday specials- lots of options and tapas all during the week :) Everything we ordered was fantastic: lettuce wraps , bao buns, fried katsu chicken, and Mongolian beef rice bowl . Shay★★★★★This place blew my boyfriend and I out of the water. Such a nice atmosphere; it has an intimate fine-dining feel and is perfect for a date night. The staff are all very friendly and we were sat right away. We ordered the Korean fried cauliflower, duck nachos, short rib bao buns, and gyoza from the Tuesday special menu. Everything was delicious, but the duck nachos and the Korean fried cauliflower were AMAZING. We also ordered the Osaka spritz which was not my style, but I enjoyed it anyways. Will be going back any time I’m in bham. The prices were fair for the portion sizes and quality.

Malik★★Not sure we’ll be coming back here. Overall, everything just seems extremely overpriced. Especially considering that the other Mr. West and Trussville is literally half the price of some of the items on here. Besides that nothing really blew my mind away. The cauliflower appetizer was good. The wings were good. Had a nice smoke flavor, but were a little dry.. Now for the main course, my steak was just not cooked properly. I understand that a thicker cut of steak will take a lot longer to cook, which is why I didn’t understand why the state came out literally 10 minutes after we had ordered. Af
