Yes, the quality of the fish is very good, but at a pretty stiff premium to other sushi places that source their fish locally. The highlight of the meal was the Miso soup and the salmon sashimi. We got a sashimi special and two of their specialty rolls. The food was good, solid, but not worth the premium pricing for us. One issue is the parking, which is a real hassle, since they don't have on-site parking. The positives include a nice atmosphere and good service. It's definitely worth a try.

The owner is from Hong Kong. So we know the quality wouldn’t be bad. As expected the food is great. They have special fish from Hokkaido Japan coming every Thursday so we get to try a few imported fish on a Friday night. Their salmon is also not the typical one we have from usual American-Japanese style restaurant. Their salmon is from Spain and it really tastes so different. Their salmon Edamame is made with truffle oil & salt. Their eel is also imported from Japan so it’s fatty and the chef told us that it needs to be torched 3 times. Absolutely fantastic sushi. Every dish was incredibly fresh, beautifully plated, and full of flavor. The chefs clearly take pride in their craft — from the melt-in-your-mouth sashimi to the creative specialty rolls that somehow taste even better than they look. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the ambiance made the whole experience feel special. Easily one of the best sushi restaurants I’ve been to. Can’t wait to come back.

I come here with the wife pretty often. Not many local sushi restaurants have the variety and quality of fish that Wabisabi has. Hard to find NY quality places like this in NJ. They have great specials menu that we always order from. The wait staff are super friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is great for a date night. Good idea to make a reservation, they get booked up sometimes, especially on weekends.
