I have found so many great places in Boise, but Java is a true gem! Great service, great food, and a great atmosphere. It is a bit boho in vibe, playing old classic rock (which I love) and very comfortable to hang while eating and drinking your coffee. I got a half sweet Mexican mocha (at the suggestion of the wonderful person at the register) and added their home made whipped cream. Amazing! Probably the best I have had. I also got the dirty hippie breakfast burrito and it was also amazing! Come hungry because it is huge!!! I highly recommend for breakfast, great coffee and just a great place

I’ve had many good experiences at Java, but today really missed the mark. I originally wanted a BLT, but they were out of lettuce, so I ended up ordering a quesadilla that cost over $10. Unfortunately, it was extremely thin and barely had any cheese in it. They also served it with a cup of beans, but there was no explanation of what they were for or how they were meant to be eaten with the meal. I also didn’t get any sour cream or anything to dip it in.

Yikes, $16 for some eggs mixed with cheap deli meat, cottage cheese, and dry bread (they forgot the peanut butter). I took this to go - lesson learned to look before leaving.

If I could give zero stars I would. I live out of state and was visiting family. I’ve always loved Java and it is my fav coffee house to frequent while in town. I ordered two grilled cheese sandwiches one without tomato the other with (since it was on the menu). She clearly heard me because she repeated my order, I mentioned it was for my grandkids and if they didn’t like it with tomato’s I would eat the sandwich to which she laughed and agreed. I also order a bowl of soul with 2 shots. How is it my order was wrong? I received 2 egg sandwiches, I was so confused. I went back to the same person
