We stopped in to the restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. They seated us right away on an early 7pm Friday night dinner outside, down town. Jeri was our server and she was awesome! She gave great recommendations and I feel steered us to the best experience. We each went with the 3 course meal which included your choice of appetizer, main course and dessert. For the price we were not expecting the huge amount of food that came out! I had the beef which was grilled to perfection 👌 my husband ordered the trout and was floored at how delicious it was. Best experience ever! Food was delicious and presentation was beautiful. Thank you to all the hard working chefs! Hostess was incredibly kind and gave us choices of seats for the evening. The most spectacular part of the evening was Mathew, who was our server. He made our dinner the most memorable. He must understand how precious time is for parents with their adult children, because he never rushed us, he let us visit, he was almost stealth like- because he never interrupted our conversation. I love the happy hour at the Owyhee Tavern. Great food selections. The HH cocktail offerings used to be much better but they're ok. I wish they'd bring back the ginger margarita; it was top notch! The Espresso Martini is the best I've had in town (but is not on the HH menu).

The atmosphere here is genuinely lovely, and the drinks were very good. Overall, the food was delicious and clearly prepared with care. I thoroughly enjoyed my steak, though I am somewhat suspicious that it wasn't actually the specific cut I ordered. Unfortunately, the service was a significant letdown and detracted from the meal. Our appetizer plates were left sitting on the table and never cleared before our entrees arrived, which made the dining experience feel cluttered. To make matters worse, we were served our mains without being given proper steak knives. It’s a shame because the kitch
