This was a fun experience. The restaurant is decorated with a total Mexican atmosphere. I loved the huge piñatas hanging from the ceiling. We had menudo and pozole tastings. They were very good. But the best was the menudo.

05-24-25 I had Chilaquiles with carne asada and sunny side up (see pics). I split it with my friend. The food here was yummy. Delicious! Our server, Claudia, pleasant, accommodating, and patient. I enjoyed my experience here catching up with my high school besties. Loved the decor of giant piñatas!

Food here is awful. Ordered the carne asada. They served it with the meat inside the tortilla with nothing else - no onion, no cilantro, no peppers. Only carne asada. The lettuce, bits of tomato, and guacamole on the side is good. But no Mexican cuisine flair with seasoning and all the fixings that normally go with carne asada. Besides the sorry presentation, the food tasted bad. Ruined my stomach after eating it. Can’t remember tasting food so gross. There’s a reason this large restaurant has empty parking and empty dining tables.

We tried Jalisco Cafe at their new location in Bonita for breakfast recently. I ordered an Omelet and my wife Huevos Rancheros + Coffee. The food was very tasty, prices were reasonable and service was excellent. We will be back when in the area.
