The tartare itself was tasty and unique, but serving it with the shrimp chips… they were terrible. I think you should specify what it’s getting served with. I basically just ate the tartare by itself. The menu didn’t specify so I assumed bread or crostinis, but it wasn’t either and it honestly ruined the dish.

Plonk has excellent cocktails at a good price. But the real thing that separates them from literally every bar on earth is their service. They have the most attentive staff west of the Mississippi, and east for that matter. Even if you are just drinking water, they will not let that glass be empty for more than 12 seconds on average. I actually pulled out a timer because the response was cartoonishly quick. Would definitely recommend if you're in Bozeman. I’ve been coming to Plonk for a few years now, and the experience has always been consistently amazing. Across the board, the service is thoughtful, attentive, and welcoming every time. The drinks are easily some of the best in Bozeman, and the food is just as impressive—always high quality and delicious. I’m a big fan of Plonk, and even the little details (like their cool matchbooks!) add to the charm. Five stars all around.
