I tried this location for the first time in Nov 2025. I tried the carne asada tacos. The people looked mad and no matter how friendly and polite i was, it didn't change anything. The food was ok. The steak was seasoned well and they put a good amount in each taco. It didn't wow me and we felt like we were bothering the staff. Pricing was ok... not sure if almost $5 per taco was appropriate. I would eat here again because I enjoyed the tacos but I will think twice because of the staff.

Don taco has proven to be the go to place to get your Birria tacos as well as your mexican favorites. The staff is great and the waiting time is not bad seems to be pretty organized. Birria tacos are sold every day of the week this is pretty rare because most places that have them only sells them during the weekend.they also have a wide variety of tacos asada, pollo, campechano, bistec, al pastor and more, you can also get all these meats on your zopes. Don Taco Central Islip: I've past by Don Taco several times, but this was my first time placing a takeout order. Unfortunately, the food was excessively greasy, making it difficult for me to eat, i threw it out. For me, this was a waste of money. If you don't mind very greasy food, you might find it tasty.

I really love the food here; it’s delicious and always satisfying. The only downside is the customer service. The staff can be a bit rude and often seem like they don’t want to be there. If the service improved, this place would be even better.
