Flower Flour is my go-to for cakes!! I use them for birthdays usually, but I used them for my wedding last year! Our favorite flavors from them are Mango Tango, Burnt Almond, and their signature Flower Flour Chocolate. Their takeaway cakes are amazing already, but they really earned my respect and loyalty when I worked with them for a custom three tier cake for my wedding. Ani was so responsive and so creative throughout the process - I gave her inspo pics from her previous work and the three flavors we enjoyed, and the end result was absolutely breathtaking! Flower Flour has a few highlights, but unfortunately, my experience wasn’t as enjoyable as I had hoped. Croissant: The croissant was decent, but not the standout I expected. It had a good flaky texture but lacked the buttery richness that makes a croissant truly amazing. It was a bit on the dry side, and I was hoping for more depth in flavor. We’ve found our new favorite bakery for birthday cakes, I preordered in person about 5 days in advance (we live walking distance so we just popped in to order) staff was very nice and detail oriented and pickup was easy breezy. The cake looked beautiful! It was perfect, not too sweet and very light and airy texture. I think what would make this cake stand out even more would be some sweet berries in the middle, like strawberries/blueberries for some extra flavor. Excited to try more of their cakes in the future.
