Unfortunately, Marvel Cake is one of those spots with a beautiful interior and stunning-looking desserts that just don’t deliver on taste. When we walked in, we were impressed by the wide variety of options and decided to try the Napoleon, the pink opera cake, and the chocolate opera cake. The Napoleon (mille-feuille) looked great, but the puff pastry layers were not crispy — they felt soft and slightly soggy, which took away from the classic texture I was expecting.
