Was recommended by a local to check Roots Cafe out for its pancakes. While we liked the buttermilk pancake of the day which was with banana, we felt the buckwheat one was a bit too grainy (or wheaty) and would not recommend it. Side of eggs and bacon was decent only. Felt like one could easily remake them at home. The house made rosemary limeade was also disappointing as it didn’t have much taste. Good coffee, with decent service for refills. Nice to stop by for the pancakes but based on the others that we tried, not worth returning for.

Well? YUM!!! The food and experience was excellent!!! My friend and I were looking for a good brunch spot. When we went, there was an hour wait which ended up being more like 30 to 40 minutes. But while we were waiting, there was this darling little shop that had antiques, jewelry, and all kinds of fun things to look at. There was also an outdoor sitting area, which was a little cold, but today was a nice weather day, so it wasn’t too bad. When we finally got seated, we were lucky to have a table in this outdoor tent kind of thing. It was heated inside and quiet. Worth the wait for sure. Th

Came to this cute lil cafe when they opened on Sunday and got seated right away. Ordered the eggs benedict with the cottage bacon (pork shoulder) and it was yummy. Potatoes were great, but some were bit burnt.
