I highly recommend this spot! They open early, which was perfect for my quick weekend trip. The avocado toast with cheese was like a grilled cheese dream, and the breakfast potatoes were a perfect side. It’s close to the main D.C. spots, making it an easy, tasty start to the day and as a sweet touch, they have this adorable cat outside that made the whole experience even more memorable!

Some say this cafe reminds them of cafes in Europe. Not quite IMO. My cappuccino was good, but I was surprised they served it in a paper cup with a plastic lid. That’s fine if I ordered it to go, but a reputable cafe serves coffee drinks in real mugs and glasses, not paper! My breakfast sandwich tasted good too. All in all, everything was fine, but I anticipated something a bit more refined.

Stopped by for a coffee break with a colleague. Good espresso and pastries … congressional offices are near by. It was quiet when we were there - but looks like this place can get busy. Highly recommend.

Le Bon is simply great. The coffee is solid, the food is solid, and the location is solid. Nice to see a small scale cafe with good options right outside the Mall. The early bird gets the outdoor seating, but even the tardy bird can find something delicious to go. As a first time DC rapscallion, I'm glad we got up early and started the day off right.
